Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
Sugar Camera is a camera and filter app that processes photos on your device. The app does not transmit your photos, camera view, or personal information from your device to the developer or third parties, and does not store them on developer servers. It contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Face Data and Biometric Information
Collection of Face Data: Sugar Camera does not collect, scan, capture, or extract any face data, facial geometry, facial mesh, facial landmarks, or biometric identifiers from your camera or photos.
Use and Processing: The app applies standard 2D color look-up tables (3D LUT color filters) uniformly across the entire image. It does not use TrueDepth camera APIs, ARFaceAnchor, Vision facial landmark detection, or any facial recognition algorithms. All photo and color grading operations are processed 100% locally on your device in real-time memory.
Storage and Retention: Because Sugar Camera does not collect face data, no face data is stored, cached, or retained on your device or any remote server. Processed photos are saved solely to your local iOS system photo library upon your explicit user action.
Sharing and Third Parties: Sugar Camera does not disclose, transmit, or share face data or photo data with any third-party services, cloud servers, or advertising networks.
Device permissions
- Camera: Used only when you choose to take a photo.
- Photo selection: The iOS system photo picker gives the app access only to photos you select for preview and filtering.
- Add photos: Used only when you tap Save to add a processed photo to your system photo library.
On-device processing
Photo and filter processing stay on your device. You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings and saved photos in the system photo library. If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may sync those photos according to your settings; Sugar Camera does not control that sync.
